Stripped coque is a bouncy feather sometimes called eyelash feathers. They are regular rooster coque tail feathers with the bottom half or 2/3 of the feather stripped off leaving a leaf shaped feather at the top of a thin stem. This shape is what gives stripped coque its dancing and bobbing movement in millinery design fascinators, and similar usage.
