Ostrich Feathers, 12 - 16 inch length per each

These medium length ostrich feathers are between 12 and 16 inches and are our standard size in this type of feather with many decorative uses. Our regularly stocked colors include: black, white, red, royal blue, brown, burgundy, hot pink, candy pink, fuchsia, gold, green, ivory, lavender, light blue, orange, purple, turquoise and yellow. Specialty colors come in from time to time and we will post them as that happens.

 The term “ostrich feather” generally indicate a feather known in the trade as a “drab”.  Drabs are ostrich shoulder feathers and have a thinner stem and somewhat thinner herl.  Drabs are naturally gray in color and come mostly from the female birds. They must be bleached somewhat then dyed resulting in some colors being a bit less bright that the wing plumes that are dyed over white.
