Rooster feathers from Lamplight Feather provide some of the most versatile of decorative feathers from the domestic rooster. Saddle hackle, cape hackle, and schlappen are all used in a variety of costume, craft, millinery, and fashion applications. (NOTE: for long ROOSTER TAILS (Coque) please click on the link) Rooster feathers are strung (sewn) more densely than feather trim on ribbon for a fuller look. It is offered by the ounce along with a linear measure of the  the sewn end. Each item page estimates the number of feathers per linear or weight unit.  Saddle hackle and the similar but denser schlappen feathers are featured in both dyed and natural colors.
