Shipping & Returns

Lamplight Feather Returns Policy:

Our return policy is simple and straight forward and is printed at the bottom of each sales receipt that comes inside your package:

"Lamplight Returns Policy: Customers  may return any materials in good condition within thirty days of invoice date for a full refund. Shipping charged are nonrefundable and return shipping are at customer expense unless otherwise stated."

If you need to return an item, please Contact Us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions for how to return items from your order.


 

Q: What if my package/items are damaged?


A: You may receive your package and it may appear to be damaged, when in in fact, it most likely, is fine. Peacock tubes sometimes get damaged in transit and if you take them out of the box, often times, they are just fine. Also, if you refer to our feather care , steam will help them return to normal. If there truly is damage to your feathers, please contact us and we will discuss your options. 
Any or all shortages, including merchandise or package damage or any other discrepancies, MUST be notified to the office within 48 hours after receipt. In all instances of order shortages, order damages or order discrepancies, the sole liability of Lamplight Feather, Inc. will be the replacement, the repair or the refund of any merchandise that was short or damaged.
No claims for damages, shortages or order discrepancies will be accepted after 48 hours from receipt.

 

 

 

Q: What if there is problem with my items?
A: Before your order is shipped, we have at least 2 different people check the order, inspect the order and signed off to confirm the order is complete and correct.  Any or all shortages, including merchandise or package damage or any other discrepancies, MUST be notified to the office within 48 hours after receipt. After we have shipped your order and after you have received your order, it is your responsibility to check the contents of the order immediately. In all instances of order shortages, order damages or order discrepancies, the sole liability of Lamplight Feather, Inc. will be the replacement, the repair or the refund of any merchandise that was short or damaged. Under no circumstances whatsoever will Lamplight Feather, Inc. be liable for any other costs, fees, penalties, rebates, discounts, performance claims or any type of consequential loss, whether explicit or implied, if any order does not arrive in a satisfactory or complete or fully working condition.
No claims for damages, shortages or order discrepancies will be accepted after 48 hours from receipt.

 

 

Refunds:
Please include a copy of your sales receipt with your return. We try and process our returns every Friday, and we will refund to the original method of payment used.



Estimating Order Processing Time:

PLEASE ADVISE LAMPLIGHT FEATHER OF ANY SPECIFIC DEADLINES YOU MAY HAVE. WE STRONGLY ADVISE CALLING BEFORE PLACING YOUR RUSH ORDER ONLINE.

Orders generally ship with 1-2 business days of receipt of your order. This means that on-line orders placed on Friday, for example, may not ship until Monday or Tuesday and so forth. Please calculate our necessary processing and packing times into your time sensitive calculations.

Please note some exceptions:

  • If an item is out of stock, customer will be advised, first by phone, and then by email, of any delay (email if International). Balance of the order may ship with out of stock item back-ordered.

  • Specialty item and large orders may require additional time to acquire, prepare and process.

  • Special Holiday or vacation closures. We will post any closures of this type on our News & Info Page .

 


 

Estimating Shipping Costs & Transit Times:

 

 DOMESTIC SHIPPING OPTIONS:
 
Domestic (within the USA) shipping options are calculated by the shopping cart. Most frequent options include:
 
-FREE SHIPPING (2-9 business days depending on location)
-PRIORITY MAIL: 2-3 Business days at a Flat Rate
-UPS GROUND, 3 DAY, TWO DAY, AND ONE DAY services. Charges calculated by the shopping cart

 

Please allow enough time for processing and packing (see above) PLUS the estimated transit times listed below. Orders ship form our business location in far northern California. 

Please be advised that rush orders (i.e., orders to be shipped that same day with UPS 1, 2 or 3 Day. OR USPS Express Mail, REQUIRES phone notification to us by or before 11:00 A.M. Pacific Time. At this time, we will advise whether your rush order can be filled. Simply placing the order through the internet site without notifying us by phone will likely mean that your order will ship the  next day, the same as a standard order. Also note that UPS does NOT travel over the weekend. For example, if you place a NEXT DAY order order on Friday, it will NOT ship on until Monday and you will get it on Tuesday.

International Shipping:
 
 
  Our Shopping Cart specifies a flat rate for most international shipping.  In cases of larger, heavier, or bulky orders the charges may exceed the listed charge.  In this case the customer will be notified via return email with the adjusted shipping charges and have the option of  continuing or cancelling.
 
We can likely ship an international order to you successfully. It should pass through with the proper documentation and treatment certificate. Although we are discouraging some international shipping, we will do it for most items if the customer realizes we have no control over the disposition of the package once it leaves the USA. It could be delayed for two weeks or more in your country's customs or, in extreme cases, seized and destroyed.
 
Sometimes, it gets returned to us due to insufficient address or they are unable to locate/notify the addressee. If this is the case and you wish us to resend your package, you will have to pay shipping charges again.
Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to buying.
These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.
 
 
Currently Lamplight will not ship any goods to the following countries:
NIGERIA
JAPAN
KENYA
TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO
