The feathers look fantastic, however they arrived with an absolutely overpowering residue/scent from mothballs. While the description said that they may have been stored in mothballs, it was not clear to me just how strong the scent would be. I've followed the website's advice for dissipating the scent, yet after days of being aired out in the sun it's no better. Since I was hoping to use the feathers for a child's costume, and mothball scent is apparently a toxic residue from pesticide, the feathers are going to go unused and I'm back to square one for my kid's Halloween costume. It's a shame because the feathers are gorgeous!
