This item is strung (sewn) Badger rooster cape (neck) hackle. The "badger" designation refers to a feather that has a dark or black center stripe along the stem and is cream or light ginger on the outer edge. Neck hackle has a stiffer stem than saddle hackle or schlappen and has a less fluff at the bottom of the quill. The feathers are strung (double stitched) for ease in handling. The feathers are 4-5 inches in length with over 300 feathers per strung ounce. Price is per strung ounce with about 18 inches linear measure to the ounce.
